Copywriter, Creative and recent divorcée of the Oxford comma

WeTransfer

Spending two years as the (sole) in-house copywriter at WeTransfer, I worked on a whole bunch of things – from intricate button copy and product UX to wider brand and marketing comms, including defining the company’s much-loved tone of voice.

There’s an endless amount of screenshots I could cramp up your scrolling hand with, but here’s a quick selection of the kind of work I produced.

Adidas

WeTransfer’s in-house studio takes care of the carefully designed and curated advertising wallpapers you see on the site. As part of this team I had the chance to work on campaigns for clients like Red Bull, Netflix and Mailchimp.

One of my favorites is this set of interactive ads for adidas Originals. The copy calls out late-night creators who find inspiration after hours – a (literal) reflection of the newly launched Nite Jogger, a shoe that’s ready to run when you are.

Solo

Working with the design team at Thirst Craft agency, I led strategy and copy for Solo, a new non-alcoholic beer from West Berkshire Brewery. While the initial brief was for one bright, bold brand for a pale ale, the concept was so well received that West Berkshire decided to create a further two beers making a full Solo range.

WePresent

WeTransfer’s coveted storytelling platform, WePresent, showcases the best art, photography, music and more from around the world. Working with the likes of FKA twigs, Ryan McGinley, Björk, John Legend and the Prince Estate, the site delves into the maddening mystery of creative ideas.

As well as crafting the tone of voice and brand messaging, I contribute editorial pieces to WePresent and helped launch and maintain the WePresent newsletter. The email, which goes out to over half a million people every month, is a treat to write and never fails to get a crackin’ response

Paper

Paper, the immersive sketching app with over 25 million users, needed a creative campaign to launch its latest feature: the Paper Store. A collection of creative prompts designed to guide and inspire, the store is packed with tips, tricks and how-tos to help people feel less intimidated about getting started.

I worked on copy and creative direction for a series of assets featured on the Apple app store and social media, as well as custom ads on wetransfer.com and a successful email campaign.
